DESCRIPTION:Anna Maria Stańczyk completed her degree at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music\, Warsaw\, studying with Jan Ekier and Bronislawa Kawalla. This was then followed by a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture to Budapest with Kornel Zempleny. SUMMARY:Lucas Krupinski
DESCRIPTION:Polish concert pianist Lucas Krupinski is the winner of the 7th San Marino International Piano Competition and all of its contest prizes – the Audience Award\, The Music Critics’ Award and the Orchestra Award. \nLucas was a finalist at the Ferruccio Busioni International Piano Competition in Bolzano\, and has won first prizes at international piano competitions in Hannover (Chopin Geselschaft)\, Aachen (ClaviCologne)\, Goerlitz (MeetingPoint Messiaen 2020) and Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe. As a semi-finalist\, he ranked among the best twenty pianists at the 17th Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw. \nHis debut album Espressione was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards alongside albums by Krystian Zimerman and Evgeny Kissin\, and received excellent press reviews in Pizzicato magazine\, MDR Kultur\, Radio Luxembourg\, Radio France and Gramophone. His records have been featured on numerous international radio stations\, including BBC Radio 3\, WQXR in New York\, ABC Australia\, Polish Radio 2 and CBC Music in Canada. \nLucas gave his debut recital at Carnegie Hall / Isaac Stern Auditorium in 2018. During the same season\, he performed a special recital in PyeongChang at the Winter Olympics in South Korea. He has recently performed in London at the Wigmore Hall (2021 & 2022) and the Royal Albert Hall\, in Paris at Salle Cortot\, as well as in Teatro La Fenice in Venice\, La Verdi in Milano\, Merkin Hall in New York. His recent philharmonic appearances in his homeland include Warsaw Philharmonic (2023)\, NOSPR Great Hall in Katowice (2022) and Cracow Philharmonic (2023). \nLucas has performed with orchestras\, including Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra\, Chicago Philharmonic\, Buffalo Philharmonic\, Orchestra of the Americas\, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra\, Bratislava Radio Symphony Orchestra\, George Enescu National Philharmonic Orchestra\, Warsaw Philharmonic\, NOSPR Symphonic Orchestra\, Sinfonia Varsovia and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (2024). He has appeared with world-renowned conductors\, including Lawrence Foster\, Daniel Raiskin\, Antoni Wit\, Jacek Kaspszyk\, Jean-Luc Tingaud\, Hobart Earle\, Sergey Smbatyan and Robert Trevino amongst others. \nSince 2023\, he has been a member of the Penderecki Trio\, alongside violinist Leticia Moreno and cellist Claudio Bohorquez. \nIn addition to being twice laureate of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Prize for remarkable artistic accomplishments\, Lucas has also received the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship and the Krystian Zimerman Foundation Scholarship. He was honoured with a Commemorative Medal from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in recognition of his artistic achievements. \nLucas was born in Warsaw \, Poland in 1992. He graduated from the OSM Zenon Brzewski Music School\, where he studied with Professor Joanna Ławrynowicz. He completed his studied at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw with “Magna cum Laude” distinction under the supervision of Professor Alicja Paleta-Bugaj and Dr Konrad Skloarski. He continued his studies with Professor Arie Vardi at Hannover University of Music\, Drama and Media (2017-2018) and with Professor Dmitri Alexeev at the Royal College of Music in London (2018-2019. DESCRIPTION:Since winning the 15th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005\, Rafał Blechacz has established himself as a leading figure on the international concert scene\, recognized as one of the greatest performers of Chopin’s works of his generation. The Polish pianist is celebrated worldwide by audiences and critics alike for his profound and virtuosic interpretations. He was awarded the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award in 2014\, given every four years to an extraordinary concert pianist regardless of age or nationality. \nBlechacz has performed with renowned orchestras\, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra\, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra\, Orchestre de Paris\, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin\, hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt\, Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen\, Mahler Chamber Orchestra\, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien\, Camerata Salzburg\, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra\, Orchestra dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia\, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich\, Minnesota Orchestra\, Detroit Symphony Orchestra\, and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
